I am an FWO Junior Postdoctoral Fellow at KU Leuven in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology. Before joining KU Leuven, I was a Faculty of Arts' Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Calgary. I earned my doctorate in anthropology at George Washington University.

My work is set in Republic of Georgia, more specifically in the contested Georgia-Abkhazia borderland and the Gali region.

 

In my current and emerging projects, I am interested in everyday materiality and temporality of long-term conflict and uncertainty.
